Swimming In My Head…

diving in the deep end…

These shoes are made for throwin’

I personally think that Nancy Sinatra should cover her old one hit wonder with revamped, fresh lyrics that fit the times.

How I would re-write the lyrics:

You keep sayin’ you’ve got something for us
Something you call weapons, but confess.
You’ve been messin’ where you shouldn’t have been messin’
And now someone else is givin’ all their best.

These shoes are made for throwin’
And that’s just what they’ll do.
One of these days these shoes are gonna throw all over you.

Yeah!

You keep lyin’ when you oughta be truthin’
And you keep losin’ when you shoulda never bet.
You keep samin’ when you shoulda been changin’
Now what’s right is right and your gettin’ what you should get.

These shoes are made for throwin’
And that’s just what they’ll do.
One of these days these shoes are gonna throw all over you.

You keep playin’ where you shouldn’t have been playin’
And you thought that you would never get burnt.
Ha!  That journalist just got a brand new pair of Pradas
And what he thinks is that you have never learned.

These shoes are made for throwin’
And that’s just what they’ll do.
One of these days these boots are gonna throw all over you.

Are you ready shoes?  Start throwin’

Hope the dude got his shoes back.
